摘要PURPOSE:To wire bond in a semiconductor laser with high mass productivity and high reliability by continuously wire bonding from the electrodes of a photodetector to electrode leads. CONSTITUTION:To eliminate the influence of a reflected light on a photodetector 3, the photodetector 3 is placed obliquely. Thus, the ends of leads are formed in a conical shape so that the electrode surfaces of the photodetector 3 and part of the end of electrode leads 4 become in parallel to continuously wire bond 5 from the electrode of the photodetector 3 to the leads 4 while securing a stem as predetermined. The diameter of the electrode leads of a semiconductor laser is generally 0.45mm, and one side becomes 0.225mm when in a conical shape to be approximately flat when bonding wirings of 20-30mumphi in diameter. Thus, the wire bonding of high reliability can be performed.
