摘要PURPOSE:To make a near field pattern between adjacent light-emitting regions continue while obtaining a large optical output by forming a section shaped in the direction except the direction parallel with the main light-emission direction of at least the optical output to an isolation trench. CONSTITUTION:An isolation trench 38 is shaped from one end face to the other end face so as to have a section in the direction except the direction parallel with the direction 39 of an optical outgoing axis on a substrate surface in an array-shaped light-emitting device. Since the isolation trench 38 is shaped circularly, it includes a section, which does not run parallel with the direction 39 of the optical outgoing axis. Accordingly, since the isolation trench 38 does not run parallel with the direction 39 of the optical outgoing axis between nearest light-emitting elements, light emission from the side face of the isolation trench 38 is also acquired as an optical output in the direction 39 of the optical outgoing axis at the same time as an optical output 311 from an optical outgoing end face 312 on element operation, and an optical system, focal depth of which is equalized to element length L or is larger than L, is used as an optical system employed for image formation, and also image-forming light from the side face of the isolation trench 38 as a near field pattern on an imaging face is used.
