摘要 | TITLE: GRAPHENE OPTICAL DATA STORAGE USING NANOHOLES APPLICANT: KARUNYA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a method of writing, reading and erasing data in a data storage device. The method comprising of following steps; a. fabricating a data storage device comprising of graphene deposited copper plates; b. data writing on the data storage device by drilling nano holes using diode laser in which the laser can be controlled using data encoding schemes thereby causing encoded data stored above the graphene layer as holes or non hole area; c. data reading on the data stored above the graphene layer comprises of passing laser light on the data in which reflecting back light varies depending on presence or absence of holes thereby the reflecting light decodes the stored data; data erasing the data stored above the graphene layer by self-healing mechanism of graphene comprising of applying high heat using laser heater on the data storage device in which the nano-holes on the graphene surface automatically vanishes at high temperature. |
