摘要An optical transceiver comprises a signal transmitter emitting an outgoing communication signal and transmit optics to transmit that includes a transmit telescope. The transceiver additionally comprises receive optics that includes a receive telescope to receive an incoming communication signal and a signal receiver. A dual-axis tilt mirror optically couples the signal transmitter to the transmit optics so that the outgoing communication signal is transmitted by the transmit telescope. The same dual-axis tilt mirror also optically couples the receive optics to the signal receiver so that the incoming communication signal is received by the signal receiver. Thusly configured, the angular orientation of the dual-axis mirror simultaneously controls the reception and transmission orientations of the receive and transmit telescopes, respectively.

主权项An optical transceiver comprising: at least one signal transmitter adapted to emit at least one outgoing communication signal; a transmit telescope optically coupled to the signal transmitter, the transmit telescope being adapted to transmit the at least one outgoing communication signal; a receive telescope adapted to receive an incoming communication signal from a remote transmitter; a signal receiver optically coupled to the receive telescope, the signal receiver being adapted to receive the incoming communication signal from the receive telescope; a dualaxis tilt mirror optically coupled between the signal transmitter and the transmit telescope and between the receive telescope and the signal receiver, the dualaxis tilt mirror being adapted to relay the at least one outgoing communication signal from the signal transmitter to the transmit telescope and to relay the incoming communication signal from the receive telescope to the signal receiver; an optical position sensor electrically coupled to the dualaxis tilt mirror; and a signal splitter optically coupled between the signal receiver and the dualaxis tilt mirror, wherein the signal splitter is adapted to relay a portion of the incoming communication signal to the optical position sensor, and wherein the optical position sensor is adapted to detect alignment errors between the receive telescope and the remote transmitter and to transmit a correction signal to the dualaxis tilt mirror.
