摘要	PURPOSE:To enable a solid-state laser device of this design to stably oscillate laser rays for a long period by a method wherein a means which enables laser rays oscillated from the solid-state laser device to vary in wavelength is provided. CONSTITUTION:An photodetector 12 directly detects laser rays emitted from a semiconductor laser element 11 and outputs signal correspondent to the detected light volume, the signal concerned is compared with a reference value previously set by a reference signal generator 35 through a first comparator 33, and when the signal is smaller than the reference value, a drive circuit 17 is so controlled as to enable the laser element 11 to output laser rays at a prescribed output power. Another photodetector 13 detects laser rays which have been partially absorbed by a transparent plate 14, whose light absorption characteristic is the same as that of a YAG rod 22, passing through it. A second comparator 34 are given the outputs of both the photodetectors 12 and 13 and compares these output signals with each other, and when the output difference concerned becomes smaller than a prescribed value, a temperature controller 16 is so controlled as to make laser rays outputted from the semiconductor laser element 11 optimum in wavelength. By this setup, a solid-state laser can be made to oscillate stably at a high output power.
