The article mainly introduce one kind multi-purpose detector which carries on the detection to the photoelectric theodolite, and describe its principle of work, the major function, the design target and the accuracy calculation. Compared with the previous detector and dynamic target,its has three major advantages which are simulating the radial movement of target and path, detecting the dynamic testing directional precision of tested equipment. It solves the difficult problem which dynamic testing directional precision could not be detected, and enhances the detected ability to instrument indoor. After calculating and testing, the device eventually could achieve ± 2".
