摘要PURPOSE:To hold the light emitting intensity of a semiconductor laser always at a constant level by successively switching plural constant current sources and controlling the current supply of respective constant current sources so that the detection output of the light emitting intensity of the semiconductor laser becomes a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The semiconductor laser driving circuit is provided with a detection means 16 for detecting the light emitting intensity of the semiconductor laser 10 and a current control means 4 for successively switching plural constant current sources A, B and controlling the current supply of respective current sources A, B. The means 16 detects the light emitting intensity of the laser 10 and supplies its detection output to the means 4. When the light emitting intensity of the laser 10 is changed in accordance with a change in peripheral temperature, the means 4 successively switches the sources A, B and controls the current supply of respective sources A, B so that respective detection outputs of the means 16 become respective prescribed values. Thus, the light emitting intensity of the laser 10 is held at the constant value.
