摘要 | A system (10) for detecting gaseous chemicals, the system comprising: a volume configured to receive gaseous chemicals (14); an external cavity quantum cascade laser (18) arranged to transmit lasing radiation through the volume, the external cavity quantum cascade laser (5) operating in a mid‐infrared wavelength range; a detector (18A) for detecting the intensity of the laser radiation affected by the gaseous chemicals; and, an analyser (20) for processing the detected radiation to identify the one or more gaseous chemicals. |

主权项 | A system (10) for detecting gaseous chemicals, the system comprising: a volume configured to receive gaseous chemicals (14); an external cavity quantum cascade laser arranged to transmit lasing radiation in a mid-infrared wavelength range through the volume, the volume being defined by a cell disposed within the external cavity of the laser; a detector (18A) for detecting the intensity of the laser radiation transmitted through the gaseous chemicals; and, an analyser (20) for processing the detected radiation to identify the one or more gaseous chemicals; wherein the gaseous chemicals are organic compounds having a boiling point less than or equal to 250°C measured at a standard atmospheric pressure of substantially 103kPa. |
