摘要 | Some embodiments of the present invention relate to a system for providing a laser beam. According to some embodiments of the invention a system for providing a laser beam may include at least one semiconductor laser unit (20, 22), a cooling unit and a control unit (40). The at least one semiconductor laser unit (20, 22) is adapted to produce laser energy having a wavelength longer than 3 m and that is detectable by a thermal imaging unit. The cooling unit (80) is adapted to cool at least the semiconductor laser unit(s). The control unit (40) is adapted for activating the cooling unit in conjunction with or around activation of the semiconductor laser unit(s), such that the cooling unit (80) is kept substantially inactive while the semiconductor laser (s) is/are inactive. |
