摘要An illumination device that is provided with: a light source part that includes a semiconductor laser 101 that emits coherent light; a polarized-light separation part that includes rutile 111, a 1/2 phase-difference film 112, and rutile 113 and that separates the optical paths of incident light by polarization direction; and a projected polarized-light switching structure that includes a 1/2 wavelength plate unit 105, a 1/4 wavelength plate unit 107, and a polarizing film 114 and that switches light that is incident from the polarized light separation part and then projected between a polarized component for light that has been separated by the polarized light separation part and that has passed through each of the optical paths and a polarized component for light that has passed through any single light path. The present invention can thereby provide a small illumination device wherein the same light source and optical system are used for both observational illumination and measurement illumination. The present invention can also thereby provide a measurement device that uses the illumination device.
