摘要The invention relates to a redundant optical radiant energy source, especially for metrology applications, characterized in that it comprises a redundant optical device (102) for creating optical radiation comprising at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132), which are provided on a thermally conducting laser support (114), at least one thermal sensor (116) configured to detect the temperature of the laser support (114) or at least one of the semiconductor lasers (130, 132), respectively; and a heating/cooling device (118) thermally connected to or integrally provided with the laser support (114). The at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132) are provided on the same laser support (114), which is thermally connected to the heating/cooling device (118) and the at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132), the laser support (114) and the heating/cooling device (118) are designed in such a way that a selected one of the at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132) may be activated at a time. The redundant optical energy source comprises a control device (134), which is connected to each of the at least one semiconductor lasers (130, 132), the heating/cooling device (118) and the at least one thermal sensor (116), wherein the control device (134) is configured to control the at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132) in such a way that only a selected one of the at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132) is active at a time.

主权项A redundant optical radiant energy source, especially for metrology applications, characterized in that it comprises (a) a redundant optical device (102) for creating optical radiation (i) comprising (1) at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132), which are provided on a thermally conducting laser support (114), (2) at least one thermal sensor (116) configured to detect the temperature of the laser support (114) or at least one of the semiconductor lasers (130, 132), respectively; and (3) a heating/cooling device (118) thermally connected to or integrally provided with the laser support (114); (ii) wherein the at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132) are provided on the same laser support (114), which is thermally connected to the heating/cooling device (118) and (iii) wherein the at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132), the laser support (114) and the heating/cooling device (118) are designed in such a way that a selected one of the at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132) may be activated at a time, and (b) a control device (134), which is connected to each of the at least one semiconductor lasers (130, 132), the heating/cooling device (118) and the at least one thermal sensor (116), wherein the control device (134) is configured to control the at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132) in such a way that only a selected one of the at least two semiconductor lasers (130, 132) is active at a time.
